Sometimes, you just have to cook something that's not a dessert.

Here's a simple, elegant recipe for braised leeks. It is spring and I am trying to get excited about savory food again.

That looks so beautiful... the white and green and the dark background... I happen to love leeks and I cook soups with them all the time. They were a staple in our house growing up. Had leek, carrot and potato soup at least once a week. yum...
